Practicing a few more things; this time paper cutout style and going back to my old lineart style.
So here's the first one, the paper cut out style. This is someone else's character. She is a fan princess from the show Adventure Time, which I love very much, and her title is the Armadillo Princess.

This was actually my part of an art exchange, I ended up liking it so much that I had to put it on here!
Next we have this lovely winged deer, who is more than anatomically incorrect. It was created for a simple design sheet, so I most likely rushed it.

This kind of drawing is actually fairly simple. I drew a sketch of the character and then drew over the lines with the color I needed for whichever part.
After I had everything in place color wise, I added the eyes, mouth, and the lines on the toes.
Next I gave each layer a drop shadow, to give it the layered look, and then added a paper texture on top to make it really look like a paper cutout.
I really like it actually. I'll have to use this style a little more often.

I don't really even know what this thing is. I started calling it a Mallow Deer because for some reason it made me thing of a marshmallow, but honestly, there is no real reason.
I recolored this at least 5 times, It was just so much fun to color I couldn't help myself.
This old lineart style feel so good to draw. I might have to come back to it more often as well!
