I love drawing.
But I have this awful comfort zone that I can't stand.
Today, I decided to get out of this rut.
I love drawing animals. Anything fluffy instantly wins my heart. So because of this I have completely avoided drawing humans.
BUT being an animator and all, it's kinda obvious that I'm going to have to draw humans eventually. So today I made an extra effort to do something about that.
I figured out that the reason I didn't like drawing people is because I didn't understand the proportions. So I spent around two hours researching the human face and practicing drawing it over and over again and I actually kinda figured it out!
To help convince myself to keep practicing I made up a human character and I practiced drawing her face from different angles and with different expressions, and I think I'm finally getting a style that is about 90% original and actually works well with my art.
Problems drawing people? Not anymore!
Now I just have to learn how to draw arms, legs, bodies, hands, and muscles!
Let's do this thing!
